One of our finest examples of using fine art in signage is on display at the Arizona Botanical Gardens.  The ability to use fine art in signage is particularly strong with Image Craft as we specialize in fine art reproductions for museums, artists and galleries.  At the Arizona Botanical Gardens, the management wanted to have distinctive, new signage created to guide people around the exhibits and gardens within the park.  The signs were created by Rolando Gumier and produced at Image Craft.  Designed of Plexiglas® and containing artfully printed photographs of cacti and other succulents, the signs give detailed botanical descriptions.  The graphics were directly printed on the half-inch Plexiglas® to provide images with a three-dimensional look.  The signs themselves were illuminated in a soft glow through the Plexiglas® by light provided by the sun.   Not only were the signs of high-quality photographs, they were also designed with the surrounding natural beauty in mind and actually added to the surrounding beauty of the gardens.

When the direction is GUIDANCE and IMAGE

The healthy, well-stocked and fairly-priced grocery store, Sprouts, is very popular with its customers.  So much so, that they have been experiencing rapid growth and an opening of new stores all over Texas, California, and Colorado.  Sprouts sought out Image Craft to produce informational and directional signage for all their stores and for new store openings.  Chief among the requirements was lightweight sign packages that could be easily shipped and quickly installed in new store locations.  Sprouts desired a fresh, new, natural look compatible with the corporation's strategic direction.  Image Craft introduced them to lighter weight materials for less expensive installation and easier shipping, and that meant a lot to Sprouts when rolling out many new store grand openings.

The typefaces recommended had a casual, country look with light graphics on dark backgrounds to make messages and directions pop.  The typefaces add to the farm-fresh and natural food strategy of the company and creatively solved both directional signage and corporate image challenges.  Barn wood frames were designed for the signs, and the framed, brand signs, 15 1/2 feet by 9 feet tall, hang in every Sprouts store.
